• If herbalism is 1 of your professions, sell all the common herbs in large lots and rare herbs in smaller stacks of five or less.  This is due to the fact that no other players are willing to pay lots of gold on a pricey stack of rare herbs when they only need two or three at a time.  Some examples of rare herbs that you will be able to sell in small stacks include:  Frost lotus, Lichbloom tiger lily, and fire bloom.

• If, by chance you happen to encounter someone attempting to undersell others at the auction house in World of Warcraft, buy the item yourself and then resell it for the average price!  As a matter of fact, doing this regularly will produce advantageous results.  Buy all the under-priced items you come across and then resell them for the average price!
